Joyful Nurturing
Welcome to our website!
There are a lot of resources online for parents these days. Some parents like to hear from the experts with degrees and some would rather crowd-source information from others with experience. This website is an in between space, a place to hear from other like-minded parents and to be pointed back to the source of wisdom in God’s created order.
We believe that as parents, God has given us the privilege to partner with Him to nurture our children: Lovingly train them, guide them, teach them and correct them. This is a foreboding task but it doesn't all rest on our shoulders because God Himself is the perfect parent who takes great care in lovingly training, guiding, teaching and correcting us, along with our children.
God has carefully and intentionally placed each child in a family because he knew what it will take for each one of us to “seek God, in the hope that we might feel our way toward Him and find Him.” He is right there with us in the journey, “actually not far from each one of us.” (Acts 17:26-27, personalized). We believe that God set up families so that we would find our joy in Him. It is daunting to realize what great influence we will have in raising these little people to adulthood. As we look to God for strength in this important task, trusting Him will replace our fear with joy and peace.
The perspectives, philosophies, structures and tips published here are intended as encouragement to nurture our children with joy instead of fear. After you look through this site if you would like encouragement on this journey of parenting with joy you are invited to our private Facebook group. Our Facebook platform is bursting with insight, encouragement, and a community of like-minded parents (mostly moms and a few brave dads) who enjoy asking and giving recommendations about specific topics. If you are interested contact us. We also offer mentors who can come alongside for specific help in sleep learning and responsibility training/ learning. Contact mentors at Joyfulnurturing.com.

Our perspectiveGod has not given us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of love and a spirit of a sound mind (from 2 Tim 1:7) -- He has called us to parent, not with fear, but with love and joy, knowing that He has also given us His power and access to His wisdom that brings a sound mind for making decisions.

About the authors and our world viewOur family representation includes grown children who are now parents themselves and are, in turn, nurturing their children similarly to the way they were nurtured. Including all the friends that have chosen this direction, we have thousands of personal examples to see the results of these principles in action. Many of you have thanked us personally for our guidance in helping you find joy in nurturing children who are a joy to be around.
